For us at Moreton Church of England School, supporting charities is an important aspect of school life. We aspire to our children being advocates for a better world and by teaching them to care about others we know that they will grow up seeing God’s love in action. We donate to charities supporting people living in poverty and promote ways to protect our environment, help animals in need, or address other global or local problems.
Here are some of the ways we have helped others
Children In Need
During advent we operate a ‘reverse advent calendar’ whereby the children are encouraged to bring food or everyday essentials into school to donate to those in need of our care and support. We also collect food during harvest for the Foodbank.
St. Clare’s Hospice
We run the Moreton Mile each year to raise money for a local charity called St. Clare’s Hospice.
McMillan Coffee Morning
We support all these charities because we want to fulfil our vision to love God and make his love known in the way we support and help others.
